How do you win 15 in a row? The Eugene Emeralds did and they showed no signs of slowing down until last night. They have the best pitching staff in the league yet they don’t have any hitter on the roster above .300. They do have some experienced college players in Zack Short and Trent Giambrone who have been doing well in August. This streak came down to some outstanding starters and excellent relievers doing their jobs. Erling Moreno has yet to allow a run in Eugene and Bailey Clark was
getting better, stronger and faster. Dylan Cease made his second-best start of the year this week while Manny Rondon just was unstoppable, Pedro Silverio finally got on track, and Bryan Hudson just kept overcoming walks until last night.
